报告摘要：Trees play an important role in the study of graphs. In this talk, I will introduce some known results and open problems on determining the number of spanning trees in a connected graph and on its relation with some other parameters of graphs. The talk will also include some open problems related to the independence polynomials of trees and the chromatic symmetrical functions of trees.
专家简介： 董峰明副教授，新加坡南洋理工大学博士生导师。主要研究兴趣包括图的着色、图的多项式、支撑树的计数、匹配的计数、匹配覆盖、Parking-function等。目前与他人合作撰写出版专著和大学教材4部，由新加坡世界科学出版公司出版；并应邀撰写了《Handbook on the Tutte polynomials and related topics》手册其中的一章（关于着色多项式的部分）；在Journal of Combinatorial Theory Series A、Journal of Combinatorial Theory Series B、Journal of graph Theory、European Journal of Combinatorics、SIAM Journal of Discrete Mathematics等图论与组合学的权威刊物上发表论文多篇。
